Originally from Lebanon, Manal Kahi teamed up with the International Rescue Committee to set up a unique food delivery service called OffBeat. Manal and the IRC have hired and trained refugee chefs from Iraq, Syria, Nepal and Eritrea, who currently cook over 100 recipes. “We want New Yorkers to say, ‘Wow, we’re really lucky to have them here,” says Manal.
